Great Minds Secondary School was founded in 1990 by the owner's grandmother, whose passion for educating her own children grew into a commitment to make quality education accessible to the wider community at a fraction of the cost typically charged. Taught by highly experienced teachers, the school has helped 1,467 students achieve outstanding MSCE results, scoring below 20 points. The school offers Forms 1 to 4, each with three streams of up to 60 students, covering full Humanities and Sciences subjects. Facilities include fully equipped science labs, a computer lab with Wi-Fi, a well-stocked library, hostels for up to 600 boarders, a football ground, netball pitch, and an active chess club. Fees are MWK 600,000 per term for day scholars, MWK 1,200,000 per term for boarders (including accommodation and daily meals), an optional MWK 200,000 lunch plan for day scholars, and a mandatory MWK 200,000 uniform covering two regular sets plus sports attire.
